#1 The Corn Festival
The Corn Festival is the number one event that goes on inside the city limits on a yearly basis. The event takes place in the month of August between the 12-14. It’s the thing the whole city waits for because of all the fun people can have. The event is free for most things like parking, admission, and entertainment.
One of the best things that happens during the event is the grand parade which features cars and trucks with trailers for all to see. During the parade you can see the North Ridgeville high school marching band, local Kiwanis, and even retired military.
Another favorite is the corn eating contest, which includes 4 different age divisions. They start at age 5 all the way up to the age of eighteen. The contest is based on the number of ears of corn a constant can eat in a certain amount of time.
There is also a car show for those gearheads and a 50/50 raffle with door prizes.
Overall, the North Ridgeville corn festival is a fun family event that lasts 3 days, so you have plenty of time to check it out.
#2 Mulligans Family Fun Center
Mulligans fun center is a miniature gold course (putt putt) located in North Ridgeville Ohio complete with a basketball court for dribbling fun. Mulligans is currently closed due to Covid 19.
#3 Sandy Ridge Reservation
The Sandy Ridge Reservation is part of the Lorain County Metroparks system. The Metroparks in the northeast Ohio area are huge and get visits from many people every year. The park is located at 6195 Otten Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039 and is open most days from sunup to sundown.
The reservation is fairly good size at 526 acres including wetlands and wildlife sanctuaries, where Mallard ducks can commonly be seen. The park over the years has become an extremely popular bird watching area.
The park also includes a 2-mile hiking trail, a pavilion you can rent out for events, the bird park and a visitors’ center.
The park at one time was farmland, then sat vacant for a number of years until the Lorain country Metroparks purchased it in 1990.
The park does accept donations to help it run. You can donate a park bench, a tree or even adopt a raptor.

#4 AMF Lanes North Ridgeville
AMF lanes is a pretty cool bowling alley located at 38931 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville, OH 44039. The Alley features 46 lanes, a sports bar, Billiards (Pool) tables, an arcade and a pro shop.
They feature a New Year’s Eve bowling party you can buy tickets to. They have two packages where you can bowl unlimited games for 2 or 4 hours. The packages pricing is $27.99 and $55.99 per person. You can also save big on your NYE bar tab with a premium bar package.
#5 Aut-O-Rama Twin Drive-In Theatre
The Rama is a great place to watch movies just like the old-time drive-in movies. The place opened in 1965 and includes 2 screens which can house many cars. Cool things can happen at the twin like meeting the brother or Ralphie from the movie A Christmas Story. Or you can take in a cool car show and see all the area’s muscle cars in one location.
#6 NorthRidge Sports Complex
The North Ridge Sports Complex is a fun center located at 5475 Mills Creek Ln, North Ridgeville. It is a total indoor sports complex that includes, racket & paddle ball & indoor golf.
The golf area has several video golfing booths that are open for tee times and it’s just a blast, especially in the wintertime.
